BRIGHTENING GLANCE
The muses collide when Maldon Meehan presents "Brightening Glance." This cross-cultural percussive dance show about the cycling of the seasons was inspired by the work of the iconic Irish poet, William Butler Yeats, as well as songs from a host of other world traditions. The show will feature traditional Sean-ns (or "old style") Irish dance, as well as American clogging, Cape-Breton, step dance, 1930s era tap dance, ballet and more. The dancing is accompanied by Celtic and international music, performed live by the Portland-based, stringed quartet, Stringed Migration.
